Think of every Bollywood actor.
When a casting director chooses them for a role, they don’t just remember their name — they remember their qualities.

For example:

  • Shah Rukh Khan → (romance: 10, drama: 9, comedy: 6)

  • Akshay Kumar → (action: 9, comedy: 8, romance: 5)

  • Nawazuddin Siddiqui → (intensity: 10, comedy: 4, romance: 2)

These number ratings are like vector embeddings — they’re the essence of the actor, not their name.

So when the director wants a romantic hero, the computer (casting brain) says:

“SRK is perfect, Ranbir is close, but Nawaz? Maybe not for this one.”

The computer does the same with words — instead of just memorizing “tomato,” it remembers its qualities as numbers (red, round, juicy, edible) so it can find similar things.
